Vigorous
This painting was meant to be the room designer for the new dining area. Behind the 2-meter-long dining table, a 4-meter-wide wall is reserved just for it. Measured and markers taped up, 200*150 – please & really colorful. OK, but will bold colors really still look good at that size or will it be too much, too restless? How can I build a bridge to the cognac-brown chairs and the oak of the dining table?
With a number of drafts we approached the dynamics of the picture step by step. The drafts were of course all small and only digitally retouched into the dining room. The small originals were then presented on site so the real colors could take effect in the light of the room.
Once the size was safely set at 1.5*2 m, the canvas was ordered and off we went: … not immediately, but after a few weeks of waiting due to the delivery time of the canvas 🙂
Many evenings later, and at the client’s request with a little more blue in the lower right, it is finished.
Then the search for a shipping option began, because 1.5*2 m does not fit in the usual car trunk. But that is another story, and in the end it turned out well:
Acrylic color on canvas, 200*150 cm, 09/2021, sold.
