Reality Recycled 1
Memories are constructions. We keep in mind what was important to us or what triggered intense feelings such as joy or pain. Forgetting is also part of it. We have to forget, because we could not cope with the wealth of all information. Forgetting is like a veil that settles over memories. They move into the background, fade. You remember fragments, try to put them together again: what came first, what came after, how were things connected? As much as you try to get to the bottom of the truth, these remembered stories are always personal myths, created by the person you are today.
