Memories are constructions. They are not a faithful reflection of the past. Every time we remember, the memory is actively created. Our image of ourselves is also being recreated again and again in memory. Memories are also interpretations and reinterpretations that are put together to form a new, internally consistent overall picture.

This work deliberately consists of different canvas and paper strips. Front and back of the canvas were used to create two sides of the painting, which were then torn up and rearranged.
