Wald im Sonnenuntergang
180*80 cm
I find the forest in itself a very relaxing place. With the warm light of the low evening sun it takes on an almost magical atmosphere for me. I had wanted to capture this mood for a long time.
Forest at sunset that used to be a harbor.
When I was given the canvas with the harbor motif at sunset, I thought: “If the print cannot be painted over, I can always re-stretch the frame.” Then it began to work in me: “Actually, these are already very beautiful warm tones. Should I really prime the canvas white or can I leave some areas standing? But black and orange in such hard contrast – what can I possibly make of that…?” In the end it was the sunset light that wanted to be preserved, and then the forest came to mind again.
